zig zag or ripple stitch

find an easy zig zag/ripple pattern

It is made using increasing and decreasing of crochet stitches. It is also called chevron pattern.
Here is a pattern for an afghan http://www.craftown.com/cropat26.htm
Here is the basic pattern
