A good survival knife should be 4 or 5 inches long. The handles must be easy and comfortable to grip in all weather conditions. Good blade thickness is of between "5/32 and 8/32 of an inch".
Some of the recommended knives are Fallkniven A1, Fallkniven F1, Fallkniven S-1, and SOG Seal 2000

What's the best "survivalist" knife out there?
There are so many kinds of survival knives out there, I get confused. Carbon steel knives, stainless etc... What's the best kind out there, who makes it, how much $$ does it cost and where do I get it (online, Army Navy store etc)?
