My favorite Quilting tool is actually a set of tools, rotary cutter, rulers and mat. I Have Olfa Rotary cutter and mat and Omnigrid rulers. I also have an assortment of specialty rulers that I couldn't resist after I saw them demonstrated. Of course, like any good quilter, I also got the books that go with the rulers.

I would love to answer with the obvious answer- rotary cutter, as it has made cutting multiple small pieces so much more accurate and symmetrical. However, I have to be honest. My favorite and most used tool is my seam ripper. I get distracted way too much while sewing together so many intricate little pieces, and it just seems that I routinely let my ADD get the best of me. Before I know it, I've sewed 30 little triangles with the wrong edges together! Rip, rip, rip. The nice thing about using a seam ripper is that I can remove threads without ruining the fabric piece. This way, I don't waste fabric and I can just correct my mistake using the same 30 little triangles. There, now I have answered with honesty. Thanks for the question.
