What are some of the best and renowned global photography competitions which do not require entrance fees?

I have always wanted to participate in photo contests. I dream about DSLRs, which I, unfortunately can't afford. So, please throw in names and details of some good photography competitions! Make sure they're global, and have a prize!

For your MD$1 tip this is a good response...for a more detailed listing, in the future, I'd suggest perhaps offering a higher tip for this type of question...just a thought...good luck with your photography :)

Ph.Art Gallery announced their new comp a few day ago. The theme is the Magic Hour which I think is also known as the photographers hour etc. Cool theme for a comp though! All entries are free!
