Check out your latest sewing or craft related shop. Maybe a quilt shop, fabric store, or a place like Michaels. See if they have any lessons posted. If they don't, ask someone who works there if they know anything. Also check for this if you ever attend an arts and crafts show. You could also try searcing Kijiji with the terms "sewing class" + (your area) and see if anything comes up.

Check your local sewing machine dealer. Shops that sell machines usually offer a wide array of classes. For most classes you are expected to bring your own sewing machine.
