Campng along the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire is one of the best ways to enjoy the northern Appalachian Mountains. A scenic 34 mile stretch between Lincoln, NH and Conway, NH, the Kancamagus is the premier camping destination for avid campers and hikers. There are 8 National Forest campgrounds between Lincoln and Conway.
This campground "Hancock" is one of my favorite.

In Northern California we have a wide variety of places to do both backpacking and camping. Of course, Yosemite is my favorite. There are some GREAT places to go in the back country. Just pack 5-10 miles in and your away from the tourists. My favorite has to be our 3-day over Cloud's Rest.
If you look at the picture of Half Dome below, to the left... the whole "knife edge" is Cloud's Rest. Hiking on top of that was a blast... and pretty damn narrow.

At first arrival in the place, it was dark night time - a bit scary for me because I never been there before. All you can hear are waterfalls, wildlife sounds, rain and trees blown by the wind. We're just really grateful when we arrived, there are already unexpected logs near the campfire just enough for the night! Quickly we start lighting our campfire to eat then put up our tent before we went to sleep ready for the whole week camping together.
We went to Mount Buangor State Park, one of the state forests in Victoria Australia, which adjoins with Mount Cole State forest. Sorry I can't upload our photos at the moment but you can read more about it on the link source if you are interested of the site.

My hubby and I do like camping together. It's one of the surprise honeymoon plan trips after our wedding by my husband. I do love camping not particularly with many groups though. I was born in a country town and mountainous side of the world before I got married so definitely I love climbing and walking. At first arrival in the place, it was dark night time - a bit scary for me because I never been there before. All you can hear are waterfalls, wildlife sounds, rain and trees blown by the wind.
