According to PubMed there are 7 articles. The first one published in Science. 1884 Dec 19;4(98):558-559. (No abstract available).
They are very scarse.
Some others are listed as palmistry but relate to palimitic acid and it is a mistake.

Palmistry: aid to diagnosis in pediatric practice.
Scherz RG.
Hosp Top. 1967 Nov;45(11):85-8. No abstract available.

Fingerprints and palmistry.
Penrose LS.
Lancet. 1973 Jun 2;1(7814):1239-42. No abstract available.

These are the latest. However the journals they're published on are not very famous as oppossed to Lancet and Science which are at the top of their fields (aka high impact journals).

Palmistry, tarot cards, and psychotherapy.
Pejic NG.
J La State Med Soc. 2008 Mar-Apr;160(2):107, 109-10. Review.

I've never seen any actual studies, but, my guess is that there is an equal number of "proved" vs "debunked" studies. As with anything of this ilk, it's what you make of it... Numerology was based on some very important information like when to plant crops and how many calves are appropriate for a cow to have.

There's part science and part spiritual in everything... even "hard" science.
