The Chervona Ukraina was sunk near Sevastopol which is a port city of Ukraine. She was raised on 3 November 1947and repaired to be used as a training hulk. By October 30, 1950 she became a target ship. Chervona Ukraina remained a target ship and was grounded on a spit to serve as a fixed target.
As early as the 1980 there nothing left of the ship above the surface.
The sinking you were referring too happened approximately at
N 44.43966 E 33.52753 in the South Bay at Sevastopol.

She was raised on 3 November 1947, repaired, and then used as a training hulk until 30 October 1950 when she became a target ship. On 10 May 1952, she was grounded to serve as a fixed target & by 1980 the Chervona Ukraina completely disappeared from above the surface. I could'nt find the exact location but the Latitudes & Longitudes approximately do come to N 44.43 E 33.527 in the South Bay at Sevastopol.
Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks.

Where was the Chervona Ukraina sunk in 1941 (latitude and longitude)?
On the 12th of November 1941 the Soviet cruiser Chervona Ukraina was sunk by Stuka dive bombers during the Siege of Sevastopol. I am looking for the latitude and longitude of this sinking (with a reference).
There are some pages in Russian describing the ship and I wonder if there are any Russian speaking Mahaloans who might be able dig up some coordinates?
