Jeddah is placed on the top of the list of the wealthiest cities in the entire Middle East Region. Jeddah, in terms of total area, is the second largest city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Serving as the gateway to the holiest Islamic city of Mecca, Jeddah welcomes an influx of religious tourists during Hajj. Thanks to the sightseeing destinations, Jeddah all round the year swarms with tourists. A recent addition to the long list of sports and recreation in Jeddah, snorkeling in Jeddah is gaining popularity.
Located on the coast of the Red Sea, Jeddah is a preferred choice of tourists who love to try out snorkeling in Jeddah. Snorkeling involves swimming on the surface of the sea with proper snorkeling gears. Consisting of a diving mask, a shaped tube known as snorkel and swim fins; snorkeling is a great fun. A wetsuit may be worn if water is cooler. Snorkeling lays bare the belly of the sea that houses uncountable varieties of marine animals. The popularity of Red Sea as a perfect venue for snorkeling in Jeddah is due to the amazing coral reefs. There are various sports shops that sell all kinds of snorkeling gears. Some shops even rent the equipments at competitive prices to encourage more tourists to try out snorkeling at Jeddah.

Coral Reefs are formed by the calcified skeletons of a particular type of animals. The coral reefs in the Red Sea offer safe sanctuary to innumerable species of tropical sea fishes. Dive fully equipped with the necessary gears into the Red Sea and swim along schools of colorful tropical fishes. Some mostly spotted fishes that stalk the underwater coral reefs carefree are black surgeon fish, shoal surgeon fish, damsel fish and spotted snappers. You should be careful as reefs are sometimes visited by sharks. Notwithstanding that, the experience of snorkeling in Jeddah would be a memory to treasure for a lifetime.
