Lizzie and OJ have a few things in common.

1- They both killed two people in ugly and gruesome ways.
2- They were both found not guilty, but the general public begs to differ.
3- They were both swamped by media and made a spectacle in the courts.
4- They both will go down in history as the ones that 'got away with it'.

-Quote-

However little one might know about Lizzie Borden, she is forever immortalized in the playground verse:

Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
And when she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.

-Quote-

She lived in Fall River, Massachusetts with her Father and Stepmother.
She allegedly killed them both on August 4, 1892.

The best outline of the whole story of the murder and 'trail by media' is found at TruTV.com

The famous house where Lizzie lived and (allegedly) killed her parents is now a Bed & Breakfast, and is quoted as being one of the most haunted places in the US.
If you dare, you can spend the night in the famous house and hope you don't feel any sharp pains as you sleep!

Lizzie Andrew Borden was a New England spinster who was the central figure in the hatchet murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. The murders, subsequent trial, and following trial by media became a cause widespread controversy. The fame of the incident has endured in American pop culture and criminology. Although Lizzie Borden was acquitted, no one else was ever arrested or tried, and she has remained notorious in American folklore. Dispute over the identity of the killer or killers continues to this day. This is a creepy story...............
