To what extent was Bismarck responsible for the unification of Germany?

I am doing a study of Bismarck and would be garteful in finding out as much as I can

Otto von Bismarck was directly responsible for the unification of Germany. Both through diplomatic means and the fighting of three different wars, Bismark was able to fully unify Germany on January 18, 1871.
