The tragedy of 9/11 was the fault of terrorists, not the Bush administration. Nevertheless, I do believe there was a failure of our intelligence gatherers to get the information that might have led to its prevention. Maybe even worse than not getting all the intelligence was the failure of the various agencies to share what they did have and cooperate with each other. There was also the issue of underlings reporting information that was ignored at higher levels. I do not want anyone to be tried for this, but I would like to know whether and to what extent this situation has improved.

Once again, if there is concrete proof that they were involved, had knowledge of or orchestrated 9/11 in any way that can stand up in a court of law then yes they should be brought to trial and punished appropriately and legally.

The question makes the assumption that they are guilty for 9/11! If there is proof, not assumptions and not conspiracy theories, but hard and irrefutable proof then yes they should be tried. Is there PROOF that can be taken to a court and that stands up in the face of truth and justice? I know there are a lot of conspiracy theories that like to present tidbits of information and tidbits of speculations all out of context or under assumed conditions and speculation, but is there hard and actual proof? Once again, if there is concrete proof that they were involved, had knowledge of or orchestrated 9/11 in any way that can stand up in a court of law then yes they should be brought to trial and punished appropriately and legally.

If they broke laws then they should be tried. However laws should not be changed just so they can go back and try them like some people would have happen.
