Best thing I can think of is the Columbia University protests in 1968. Students took over a number of buildings on campus and shut down the school.

Operation Bi'ur Hametz ("Passover Cleaning") was a Haganah operation carried out on 21–22 April 1948. The objective of the operation was the capture of Haifa and was a major event in the final stages of the civil war in Palestine, leading up to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.

This is one of the most important days in history. On April the 23rd in 1516 the Germans introduced their Beer Purity Law.

"Germany now has a tradition celebrating an annual “Beer Day,” or to be exact “German Beer Day,” on April 23. This day marks the anniversary of the German beer purity regulations of 1516, the world’s oldest existing rules for food quality and the pride and joy of Germany’s brewing trade. The rules specify that beer must be brewed solely from water, hops and malt: “Hops and malt for beer, may God preserve them here.”
