It drew criticism and received international media coverage on America's "gun culture"

Albert Hoffman discovered the effects of LSD.

Although this happened pre WW2......it radically changed the culture of the 1960's and is having a resurgence.

Colditz Castle (Oflag IVC), the Nazis' maximum security prison for Allied troops, was liberated by the Allies. Yet the escapes kept coming.
