They are helpful but you have to know your kid and the report can't tell you how your child will fit in at that school. If possible it is a good idea to tour the campus that you are interesting in - talk with other students - read online forums about the schools.
Put all that together and then consider the tuition.
That will be the best way to formulate the best school.

Specifically how they rate graduate programs... does anyone know?
