How many calories are there in a slice of bacon?

A standard slice of American bacon, as well as a slice of thick Canadian bacon.  Please include a source!

Answers varied, probably due to variations in thickness and fat content. For American bacon, I found results from 40 (Shoneys, site below) to 50 calories per slice (Farmers thick cut, my counter). Fitday.com says 43.3 per oz after cooking, 3.3 gm of fat
A slice of Canadian bacon was from 34 (1/2 of the 2-slice count, 2nd site listed) to 44.5 calories. Fitday.com says 51.8 calories for 1 oz., cooked, 1.9 gm of fa

It depends, varying from brand and weight, but the normal slice of breakfast bacon weighing 25g has from 100 to 150 calories.
