No because acupuncture only subsides the pain. When people look for pan relief, they look for something to eliminate the pain; not subside it. Also, some cases show that acupuncture doesn't work for everyone. Some people don't feel the effects of it.

The effectiveness of acupuncture remains a controversial issue. ... The results indicate that the evidence base has increased for 13 of the 26 conditions included in this comparison. For 7 indications it has become more positive (i.e. favoring acupuncture) and for 6 it had changed in the opposite direction. It is concluded, that acupuncture research is active. The emerging clinical evidence seems to imply that acupuncture is effective for some but not all conditions.

Only if the acupuncturist can convince me he knows about nerve junctions, and where they are.

I'm not a believer in alternative medecine, but accupuncture did help my father with chronical neck pain and headaches after a car accident.
I've know a few GP's to switch to accupuncture, I think that would be the best person to give you such a treatment because they can also judge if something else is going on.

Absolutely not! Best solution to pain is a gun to the head, I mean its in style now days, everyones doing it, must be good if the suicide rate is so high! Must be a better life somewhere over that other rainbow, but ya can't get to that pot of gold with some acupuncture treatment!

Think about it, you want to pay for acupuncture? Do you want to give the goverment money for anti-depressants, heck no, all ya need is something strong enough to push an ideal from the front of your head to the back of your head, and I figure even a 5.56 round, or 7.62 round might do, but be careful bout those .22's might just leave you paralized for life.

I wouldn't mind jumping off a building, if I knew it wouldn't hurt but for more than a second, but its that one second that would be totally unbearable, then you have to think of the poor sap that has to clean up the mess!

I hope this helps!
