Tonik from BlueCross Blueshield is one of the best. (starts with $70 per month)

Anthem is also good.

Here is good guide:

This is an all-too-common problem. When I was a consultant, my wife and I paid $638 a month for health insurance with a high deductible (we are both under 30 and have no health issues - it is absurdly expensive).

Go to this site:
http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/

It is a major player in this area and you are sure to get a better understanding of estimated costs.

Here is a good article:

http://www.thestreet.com/story/10233955/health-insurance-for-home-based-business-owners.html

It gives you other avenues to explore, such as former colleges, business associations, trade societies, etc.

it is an unfortunate position. Every time I think of taking the plunge, I think of how much it would cost if I had a car accident, or my wife were injured, etc. I think this is the biggest area that prevents entrepreneurship. The benefits are just too good at a high-level corporate job.
