What's your view on the china-one-child-policy introduced by the government of China back in 1979?

Yes for 30 years this policy has been in place now and I just wondered what mahaloians thought of this policy?

Do you think it's a good idea?
Would you have been happy with being restricted to one child?
Do you think the restriction is good for China and the environment, etc?

The individual power has been increasing. The one child policy has not been a strong believe system. The Chinese have a great heritage spanning over 5,000 years and the one child policy has not been a part of that believe system.

It is impossible for the one child policy to work. The Chinese people leave China, educate, earn money, send money for relatives, relocate and raise families. It is impossible to contain a determined group of people from having children.

The one child policy encourages immigration, in my opinion.
