Colds are caused by hundreds of types of viruses, thus, we are never immune to it especially if our resistance is weak. For example if we are stressed out, lacking sleep and we don't eat enough fruits and vegetables.

Simple and natural solution is to drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday. Water therapy is very effective in making colds stop easily and eat lots of fruits so that you can have enough Vitamin C which would boost your resistance to diseases and other viruses.

There's no such thing as a cure for the cold. It will run its natural course, no matter what you do. Various remedies will help relieve the symptoms and make you somewhat more comfortable.

I have found many times that if I can catch it in the early stages, you know,'uh oh I think I may be starting a cold!' I can beat the wretched thing off. I take a couple of paracetamols, washed down with orange juice, and use a couple of squirts of a good nasal spray (I like Vicks' Sinex don't know if it's available in your area) to get rid of that nasty slightly sneezy, runny nose that we all know and hate! if necessary ,I repeat this after a couple of hours, but not the paracetamol, leave that for 4 hours. This seldom fails if you catch it early enough. Good Luck!
