Exercise...and do so early in the day, not after work or dinner. Don't eat within three hours of bedtime. Warm milk right before bedtime will make you sleepy because of the Tryptophan in it (but do not take Tryptophan supplements). Sleep in a darkened room. Try not to have your computer or your home office set up in the room where you sleep. Do NOT do work that you bring home in bed. Read for pleasure before you sleep if that helps you fall asleep. Have you bedroom painted calming colors; do not have loud, garishly colored sheets and blankets. Buy a sound machine that plays the sound of rain, the ocean, waterfalls, streams, or whatever. Find the sound(s) that help you and play them as you go to sleep. Eat meals at a regular time, the same time each day, especially dinner. GO TO SLEEP AT THE SAME TIME EACH NIGHt. Try yoga, mediation, long walks, breathing exercises, etc. during the day to quiet your mind and relax!

You can work out a few hours before you go to sleep it has helped me sleep much deeper . Hope it helps you . Also make sure you eat a few hours before you go to sleep because the food will make your body work harder when you are sleeping and that might be a problem when you sleep.

Have you tried Valerian root. It helps promote a deep sleep. I've used it and it really helped me.
