Poor guy!

I'm a high fever kind of gal. It's pretty common that when I spike a fever, I SPIKE a fever. About half a dozen times in the past fifteen years, I've hit 104.

I think 104.2 was the highest I ever got, and we got it right back down so I never did go to the hospital.

Yes, when you hit those high 103s and into the 104s, things get....loopy. The 104.2 incident was when I was still living with my parents. I remember the curtains in the livingroom started to swirl and sway. I saw things that weren't really there. It was like a freaky trip.

And nowadays my husband can easily tell when I get over 103. I start to not make any sense when I talk and I can't stop flip-flopping between baking hot and shivering cold.

REMEMBER to keep a cold wash cloth on your forehead, and keep taking a fever reducer (like Tylenol) as often as recommended. Drink LOTS of fluids, and if your fever gets to the 104 arena, make sure someone gets you to the hospital.

Feel better! :)

Sorry you've been ill. I hope you are on the mend.

I haven't had a high fever for years but I did top 103 at least once. I was definitely feeling punk with that high a fever.

A few years ago I had a fever peak at 104.8 (taken by mouth, this is right on the edge of when really bad things start to happen). That was not fun. It was partly due to a bad reaction I have to a certain over the counter medication combined with the viral infection I had. It left me dizzy and weak, but I was otherwise fine.

Drink plenty of fluids, take ibuprofen (or tylenol, aspirin, etc), and get out from underneath the blankets so you can cool off.
