2. Swim/jump in a pool. There is nothing like water to really wake you up.
3. A little coffee or other caffeinated beverage can make #1 and #2 more effective, but don't over do it.
4. Put on the cold water at the end of your hot shower.... will really wake up your sense.
5. Diet: i find if I eat some oatmeal, fruit and take some vitamins I'm really jazzed up for the day.
6. I do a Green Vibrance shake in the AM and it gets me really alert!

Here are a few tips I've learned for getting going on those rough Mondays: 1. Music: Whether it's programming your alarm clock to wake you up to a little Marilyn Manson, or rocking out to AC/DC in your car on the way to work, some good, loud music is always a good way to get "pumped."
2. Exercise: A short burst of exercise early in the morning is a good way to get your blood flowing and tells your body that it's time to get up and move. A short run around the block, a few situps, or a short bike ride can definitely help. Grab your ipod and combine it with music for an extra burst.
3. Coffee. Nuff said. None of this decaf, soy latte, chai mystic tea Shenanigans. Just straight black coffee. Does the trick every time.

Absolutely agree with the previous answerers on the importance of exercise (taking a quick walk around the block is great, and you can stop by a coffee shop for a shot of java on your way home). But the most important thing you can do to stop feeling sleepy on Monday is to get enough sleep! Go to bed on time on Sunday night. In fact, make sure you go to bed and get up at the same times each day, no matter if it's a weekend or weekday. This will set your body clock and let you feel rested when you wake up every day!
