What is that pain in my pelvis?

I have a sharp pain in my pelvis, to the left of my penile area. It REALLY hurts during/after running and basketball. I'm a paranoid person. What is the pain?

Let's be clear: Go to a doctor.

It is probably a muscle or tendon strain.

It could be several horrible things.

Get it checked out. It will probably keep until Monday, but I would call your doctor's office now and ask for an appointment.

UCSF Medical Center online offers some suggestions, otherwise I would advice going to a doctor for medical questions.

It could possibly be a hernia. There are several things it could be. Some are not dangerous. Some are very dangerous. Your best bet is to see a doctor. And I'd do it right now, because some of the options are life-threatening and wouldn't wait, like a clot, a strangulated hernia, or even radiating pain from appendicitis.
