I can not speak as the person actually taking the medication but I am close with someone that takes a generic for Zoloft (having taken Zoloft in the past) and she has made comments on how there is no difference.

There is generally not difference between generics and brand-name. They have to use the same active ingredients by law, but inactive ingredients (fillers, color additives, etc.) can differ to help save you money on generics.
