Took a Vicodin to get rid of my two-day-old migraine. It worked, but why do I now have more energy? Shouldn't I be passed out, or something?

I have had the same experience when taking Vicodin (I suffer from headaches also).
In the link below, many people have had similar feelings along with increased sex drive to an all around euphoric feeling and diminished anxiety. It's interesting how medicine in general will have so many different reactions.
