Well was is more like it, add NO SALT to anything you eat, also refrain from salty foods.
Don't eat out at fast food joints. Its not good for you.
Don't drink soda, drink water.
Stay away from caffeine.
Its going to sound like a plug but there is a drink called Mona Vie, I drink that (its about $40/bottle and one bottle will last you about a month). If you are interested in that just send me a message and ill let you know (and might even help you get into a cheaper price).
Talk to your doctor, they might put you on some medication till you can work on lowering it yourself.
If you are over weight, you need to correct that.
Stress is a big contributor.
If you take steroids, or HGH. ( I was taking Steroids for a while (not the illegal kind) and my bp was around 190/100 for a while))
Don't trust the bp gauges at walmart, they sometimes dont work right. Stop by your local fire department and they will do it for free (toss a couple bucks tip or a pizza or something just to show gratitude for what they do anyways).
If you normally live at sea level (Florida) and go to a high altitude (Colorado) your bp could go to 220/165 (Yah let me tell you how much that sucks)

Hypertension is one of the commonest diseases affecting the mankind today. Its a complex disorder, which involves multiple genetics and environmental variance and affects 20% of the adult population. Mostly it will not produce any symptoms on its own. If left untreated, it damages many vital organ systems in the body such as
Heart
Brain
Kidneys
Eyesight
Thus, by controlling blood pressure, the length of life and quality of life will improve.

This is only my opinion... If you are hyper-tensioned, do not take medication for this, because its better to change the situation that caused the problem, than to change the body to deal with the problem, this is a concept our government is not aware of. Secondly, based on a biblical fact, should there be an offending part of your body, just chop it off, for better that one part go to hades, than the entire body! If thy eye offends thee, pluck it out, that is why God gave us two of almost everything, so if you don't have a spare, better not risk it! Hope this helps!
