The alleged detoxification effects of Master Cleanse are unproven and contradict much of what is known about the human body. Most toxins are broken down and excreted spontaneously. Some toxins, however, are sequestered in various parts of the body, including fat cells. Unfortunately, removal of these toxins is possible only through specialized medical therapies such as chelation therapy; a special lemonade mix will have no effect.
