Nicotine patch does the same thing as cigarettes - send nicotine into your bloodstream, even if it's at lower dosages. Your better option is to find natural ways to detox (yoga, exercise, sunshine to get Vitamin D, adding vegetable juice to your fruit juice, etc).

There is not a single pharmaceutical drug or aid without side-effects unfortunately.
