According to dermatologist Dr. Audrey Kunin in an article for MedicineNet.com, pimples can be resolved with toothpaste. It depends on what type of toothpaste you use - not any will do - make sure you use the type suggested. Dr. Kunin describes how and why it works below.
"It is drying and basically works like a clay mask," Kunin says. "It dehydrates the pimple and absorbs the oil," she says. Toothpaste works best on a pimple that has come to a head - like a whitehead, Kunin adds. "But be careful not to use a whitening toothpaste because they tend to have high levels of hydrogen peroxide that may irritate or burn the skin," she says. "If you are going to try it, use a white paste -- not a gel -- and skip this remedy if you have sensitive skin because it will be too irritating."
Pretty cool huh? I might just have to try this someday!

Yes it's known to some people that toothpaste kills zits. But you have to apply to your finger the way you apply it
on the toothbrush on the fingertip and right on a zit at night
before bedtime. It stinks and stings a little but it works.
