"Treatment depends on the cause of the food poisoning. Generally the doctor will recommend resting, following a specific diet, and drinking plenty of fluids. It usually takes about 1 to 5 days to fully recover from food poisoning."

I think you shouldn't eat anything until it's over. You can goe to the doctor if it gets really bad. If you have to puke try to drink only water and don't eat antything that is spicy and stuff. Just plain bread with butter and cheese(or something you like) should be the best

Symptoms of food poisoning can develop quickly, within 30 minutes, or slowing, worsening over days to weeks. Usually it is not serious, and it runs its course in 24-48 hours. Symptoms of food poisoning include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, diarrhea, fever and chills, weakness, and headache. Make sure you drink any fluid except milk or caffeinated beverages to replace fluids lost by diarrhea and vomiting. If you have diarrhea and are unable to drink fluids (for example, due to nausea or vomiting), you may need medical attention and IV fluids. If you have signs of dehydration including dizziness please go to the ER. You should see your doctor if you have diarrhea and are unable to drink fluids due to nausea or vomiting, if diarrhea lasts for more than 2 days, fever over 101, and if there is blood in your stool.

If you can keep down liquids, I'd suggest Pedialyte or Gatorade (to help maintain your hydration and electrolytes) and also ginger ale or non-diet carbonated soda (Coke or Pepsi; the phosphoric acid can help calm the stomach).

If you can take solid foods, ginger snaps and small sips of tea are helpful.

For a kind of kickstart, you could try taking a Goody's headache powder or similar product, this is basically a powdered medicine containing aspirin and caffeine. I once took one while about halfway into a food poisoning episode and it helped me feel zippy and much less sick in less than an hour.
