It sounds as if you are asking about a ketosis diet. Ketosis is when your body is no longer burning glucose and starts to burn fat. This can cause you to loose weight but over the long term puts your body into a starvation mode. Most people can handle this for the short period of time (14 days), but over a long period of time it can cause ketoacidosis or metabolic acidosis which is a far more serious condition. Metabolic acidosis can cause confusion, lethargy, kidney and/or liver damage, shock or even death.
