Does anyone know how to relieve either a severe kink in the neck or a pinched nerve???

For a pinched nerve, you would usually have numbness, a pins and needles sensation, burning, and pain that radiates outward from the area. If you don't have any of this symptoms, this is probably just stiffness. A pinched nerve is usually treated with physical therapy and medications such as NSAIDs- Advil, Aleve. This would alleviate any inflammation. Heat can be used, but only for a maximum of 20 minutes every hour. If you do not see any difference in 24 hours, then you should make an appointment with your doctor for an evaluation. This site has additional information

I've had that happen to me a couple of times and I went to see my massage therapist.

You can also try heat, either a heating pad or take a hot shower and let the water hit directly on the sore area of your neck. Taking advil may make you feel a little better too.
