It is possible that because your saliva is completely sucked out by the suction, you need to drink water.
Also, if you are sensitive to sound, the sound of the hand pieces causing it.
If you are tense about dental visits, you can get a head ache.
If that is the case, try using some relaxation techniques. Try to talk to your dentist about your headache next time. May be they have some suggestions.
I used to work as a dental assistant. I never got headaches during treatments done to me.

I'm not a doctor nor a dentist, but I know that adrenalin is used in the injection to numb your nerves. Some people are sensitive to adrenalin injections, I've heard of heart palpitations but not of headaches yet. But it might be worth checking.
