Do you think a Smokeless Cigarette will help you quit?
I was checking into these electronic cigarettes by http://www.smokelessdelite.com and seems to be a pretty cool invention. Do you think they will help you quit? Or have you any insight in how they will help you stop smoking?
Thanks!

I smoked for 15 years - a pack a day and since I started using the e-cig I have smoked practically never. I admit, I have the odd one - maybe one a fortnight, if I'm having a drink etc but for the most part I don't use tobacco anymore which is both troubling for the the the tobacco industry and troubling for the pharmaceutical industry as well as troubling for big.gov. Where's their revenue going to come from if smokers switch to an unregulated source of nicotine mixed with proplylene glycol and manufactured in unknown factories in China?
A few countries have already banned them: Austrailia, Mexico, Denmark, to name a few. interestingly all for different reasons. The WHO is snarling that they will be advising member nations to only allow suppliers who conduct full trials on their liquid (ie Big Pharm) to be allowed to sell them and for them not to be allowed to be used to skirt the smoking ban. But we should all know who the WHO bat for (maybe not intentionally) well let's just say, a lot of people who work there have certain vested interests...
Coffee is addictive. do the WHO advise member nations to only allow instant coffee that has has been fully tested in clinial trials?? Do Big Pharm sell caffeine replacement therapy?? The answer to both is "no".
So yeah, snatch em while you can. all out bans or grossly inflated prices could be just around the corner. Me, I got 2 KGs of e-liquid sitting in my fridge, caramel, cola and flavourless (for my own home brews) and I vape because I enjoy vaping just like I enjoyed smoking. I may stop..I may not but at least I know I'm not inhaling 400+ chemicals and paying the government an exorbitant fee everytime I do.
If you are going to pick one up - shop around..you can get a kit anywhere from $35 to $150 depending on what you can taken for. Don't buy one from a bricks & mortar store. They'll mug you. check warranties, there is a good chance you'll be using it.

Yes... they will help you quit, but they are only part of the solution. The addiction is only part of the problem. The other part are the emotional connections smokers have made with the cigarettes: relaxation, hunger supression, stress/anxiety, social acceptance, etc. These are the other pieces of the puzzle that need to be addressed for a long term solution.
