Krav Maga is a fantastic self defense system, and would make a great compliment to your grappling training. It takes the opposite approach as Jiu-Jitsu and emphasizes striking as a preferred weapon and grappling as a way to escape, get to your feet and let you resume striking. KM practitioners want to stay on their feet if possible because they assume that there will multiple opponents. If you get tangled up with someone on the ground, there's always a chance that their friends will show up and use your head as a soccer ball while you are busy. Since it is basically the opposite approach to self defense, it seems like a great way to round out your skills. This could be especially handy if you ever have to face several people at once or someone skilled with a knife or melee weapon.
