No, they are not. However, they have a slightly higher resistance to this particular flu type, as it resembles old strains of the flu. Plus, previous flu vaccinations seem to be effective too.
This applies especially to people 65 and older, who were alive during the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918 are more resistant, as the current H1N1 is a direct descendant of that old virus strain. Scientists are not entirely sure this story still holds, and they are investigating it further.

All of this doesn't mean they are resistant, but they are less likely to catch the flu. However, IF they catch it, they tend to get more ill than youngsters.

Senior citizens seem to have partial immunity to the the swine flu. It is perhaps because they have been exposed to similar viruses in their lifetime. A recent poll done by the Associated Press showed 82% of the seniors polled had signed up for the vaccine but were not overly concerned that pregnant women, caregivers who work with infants 6 months or younger, children and young adults, and people with poor immune systems or chronic health problems would be priorities before them.
Healthy seniors 65 and over are slated to be the last part of the population eligible for the flu shots expected to be available early this fall.
