I myself, am not dyslexic. However, there is someone close to me that is. Many people assume that those suffering from dyslexia will have difficulties in school, won't do well in college, etc. This is not the case. My friend is the member of the honor society at our college, carried a perfect 4.0, and honestly has had to overcome some obstacles. For example, the reading difficulty. Unlike other people, he reads backwards and has a tendency to skip several sentences. To achieve and cope with dyslexia, it's all about finding what will and won't work for you. Several dyslexic individuals are highly talented and perform well. Rule of thumb to live by, dyslexia doesn't control the person, the person manages the dyslexia.
