interesting question. I found a few odd teas for sale online - I'm not sure if you were after a dealer or trader but still, you could always send them a mail to inquire.

There is Okinawan tea

Or organic green tea from Japan

There's bush tucker from Australia - a bit different to European type native teas

Maybe Rooibos Spice Tea from South Africa - they sell some very different blends at this site!

Good luck hunting down some new tastes :)

Depends on the kind of tea you're looking for. For normal retail but not everyday, I deal with Teavana (the have online and retail outlets) or Ten Ren (again online or at the store).

Depending upon the herb or tea you are seeking, and assuming it is not a normal "commercial" tea or herb, you may have to search in regions where the tea or herb is grown or find expatriate populations from those regions with resident healers who might be able to assist you.

For instance, if I were searching for a rare Chinese healing tea, I would probably start, locally, with the area of town where I know there are reputable Chinese healers. Possibly, even if they did not have the tea, they might be able to obtain it or point me to someone who could.

If I could find no one locally to assist me, I would probably try another city in my country which had a larger expatriate population from the area where the tea or herb is grown, used, or best known.

Finally, if I could find no one in my country who could help in this search, I would try searching, via the internet, in regions where the herb or tea is grown. Language and trade/import issues might be problems, but perhaps I could use local resources to help overcome these hurdles.

I live in the Houston, TX area. We have a large population of Chinese immigrants and there is a Chinatown which has developed in west Houston where there are several reputable Chinese healers. I am not familiar with specific healing teas, but you might be able to work with a healer here to find the specific tea you are seeking. Other cities in the US where you might be able to contact Chinese healers include San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, or New York.

Based on a previous question you asked in MA about healing teas, I am including two sources:

http://chicago.olx.com/banaba-herbal-tea-iid-21473156

I hope this might help you - otherwise, please detail the tea which you seek.
