The Center for Disease Control is allowing this drug to be used in life threatening conditions when patient's are not responding to other therapies for the H1N1 virus.

Basically it is being used as a last resort, while it is still under going testing. It is only available in an IV format for critically ill patients.

This limited type of use will give us more information on the efficacy and safety of the drug so that the FDA can decide whether or not to approve it.
