So long as the enclosure says SATA in some way you should be fine.  I personally would suggest looking at the Thermaltake BlacX dock instead of a full enclosure.  This dock allows you to have your hard drives hot swappable which is a nice feature if you end up buying another drive in the future.

I personally use the next step up which makes the dock a USB hub as well:

I have multiple internal IDE drives that I converted to external.....but, this makes more sense.
I have:
2x250GB SATA Barracudas
1x160GB SATA,
1x200GB IDE,
60GB 2.5 Enclosure
120GB 2.5
250GB 2.5
The 160 SATA Drive that I had a while ago was powered by the old power plugs vs. the new types so I was unfamiliar with the setup. any suggestions on label or data management in terms of backing up?
Thanks for the help.
