It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Combs are great for straightening hair, but only for relatively short lengths of it, because hair tends to get tangled in its long, thick tines.

There are different brushes for different purposes. The basic brush is a paddle brush. It serves essentially the same purpose as a comb, but having many thin bristles it separates hair more thoroughly and doesn't tangle as easily.

The round brush builds body by introducing waves into the hair. The round shape lets you roll the brush.

There are many other specialized brushes for other things you want to do with your hair. If you are a man or otherwise have short hair, a comb or flat brush will do; a comb is cheaper and more portable. If you want to maintain long hair, a bigger arsenal is required.

This obviously depends on a persons hair but in my case (with what hair I have left at the apparent old age of 26) I'm all for the comb.

Depends on your hair. People with short hair would find a comb more useful because the the teeth are closer and combing may be more comfortable than using a brush. People with longer hair should abstain from using combs, especially on wet hair. Since a comb combs hair more closely and densely, breakage, split ends and knots are more likely to occur. Using a brush though, since the bristles are spaced further apart, there is more space for the hair to fall into place instead of it compacting together.

I use both. I use a brush to brush my hair and a comb for my bangs. A comb offers more precision (separation) Whilst the brush makes sure my hair untangles safely without causing any damage.

It all depends on the length of the persons hair.
I would suggest a comb to a person with a shaved head (mainly men w/ short
hair)
And I would recommend that those with long hair should use brushes because the comb tends to get stuck in the hair for awhile if you're trying to get out the tangles

It depends on what hair style or hair type you have.

1. If your hair is straight, both brush and comb will be good for you.
2. If your hair is straight and you want to add volume in it, a round hairbrush will be nice.
3. If your hair is naturally curly, a comb will be better.
4. If your hair is styled and it's curly, a wide toothed comb is more ideal.

I personally suggests using wooden combs and brushes for it minimizes friction in your hair... ^^
