First, it is great that you are using hydrating shampoo and conditioner. This is a great foundation to work from as frizzy hair can be caused by having dried out hair. I suggest that you keep your conditioner cool and also rinse your conditioner out with the coolest water you can stand. This will help seal your hair cuticles which will prevent moisture from getting into your hair when you don't want it to. The moisture that gets into your hair after styling will cause it to curl, poof up, and get frizzy. After you have washed your hair and you are ready to style, I suggest you add a light mousse to your hair, that is not for volumizing, and a smoothing serum. I use Paul Mitchell's Super skinny. It smells great and a little goes a long way. Skip the gel and hairspray at this point. Use an ion blow dryer with the conentrator attachment on it. Ion blow dryers will help you to have shiny and healthy looking hair, which is key to having great looking straight hair. Blow dry your hair in small to meduim sections working your way down. The best way to do this is to use a vented hair brush to hold the sections and point the conetrator in a downward direction, moving slowly down your hair. Once your hair is dry, then add a bit of hairspray or setting spray, again I use paul mitchell for this. The setting spray is great. Use a ceramic plate flat iron to further straighten and set your style. If you feel it is needed use a small amount of hairspray to set the style, but be warned any moisture will make your hair curl back up, so very light with the spray. If this does not work, I would consider having your hair straightened professionally. Note, If you have split ends cut them off as they will look frizzy no matter what you do. If you can't cut them off at this time, curl the ends of your hair up about an inch or two to help hide them and reduce frizz a little bit. Also if you are going out in humid weather try to cover your hair the best you can to avoid it from getting moist in any way, which will cause it to curl and frizz.

When your are done use an anti-humectant product to block moisture from returning and bringing the "poof" back. Aveda makes some decent products for this http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY10538&PRODUCT_ID=PROD5817#
My stylist also uses Bumble and Bumble products on my hair http://www.bumbleandbumble.com/product/mpp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT65 (and I have very curly hair)
Careful not to use too much of the Aveda stuff, though, else is will make your hair look or feel greasy. A little goes a very long way.
Finally you have to be very protective of your hair. If it's humid out, swallow your pride and cover your head in a bonnet or scarf of some kind while outdoors. At night you should always, always "wrap" it. There are many how-to videos on youtube of women wrapping their hair. If your hair is fine and silky when straight, as mine is, you will need to use some bobby pins to keep it in place as you wrap it. This method works wonders for all kinds of curly hair and keeps it stick straight.
Good luck!

im not sure if your using a blow dryer, but try using one, blow down so your hair doesnt curl up and it should stay straight and soft. if that doesnt work try using chi shampoo. go to shoptimesaver.com and search chi shampoo. I hope this helps.

You may want to explore different tools and products. Use ceramic irons to straighten. They can get very hot without burning your hair.
