For me, manageability and touchability. I want my hair to be full and beautiful, but not frizzy or oddly wavy. Also, I want my hair to feel soft to the touch. I use Pantene for shampoo/conditioner and then Bed Head Control Freak gel to keep my hair controlled without hurting the feel. Plus, wind and touch don't ruin the effects of the gel.
I used to prefer shiny hair, and suave does a good job of that, but then your hair is hard and almost squeaky to the touch.
