Have you tried going into a music store where they sell the guitars? Most of the time the sales people will know exactly what you need and will be able to point you in the right direction.
Normally I would say listen to the teacher, but if you are just calling them on the phone, they know nothing about you. Like I said try a music store they will help!
Good luck and happy playing!

If I have small fingers, should I get an acoustic even if all the teachers I ask tell me to get classic?
I am very new at the guitar playing world. But I've decided that I really want to learn how to play. Everytime I call a guitar teacher for their advice, they just blow me off and tell me to get a classical guitar because the acoustic has steel strings. But I have tiny fingers, and the classical guitar has a wider neck, so acoustic might be easier for me from that point. Does anyone have any advice?

• Thanks so much. Is it really much harder to play acoustic than classical?
