Graphic Designers: I need two images for one of my projects. Open this question for more details.

My side-project is: http://www.musicgenretree.com

First, I need a logo to use as an avatar in social sites. I need a 2nd image with the words "MusicGenreTree.com" to display at the homepage. It would be great if both images shared a common color scheme.

I'm looking for a tree image and musical notes (or anything music related) somehow integrated into the tree.

I know $10 bucks is not much, so I'll give you mad props at the site in addition to the $10 if I end up using your images ; )

I just built these for you. They're from scratch, so you definitely won't have any copyright issues.

They're vector format too, so I can send you the original files and they can be scaled up or down as much as you want with no "pixelatedness" or loss of quality.

Asker's Rating:
• This is exactly the type of logo I had in mind. I don't know if I would use that font for the site title, but the logo was so great that It doesn't matter.

It would be much appreciated if you sent the vector files to into @ cesarsandoval.com (remove the spaces).

Thanks again,

You can combine two images any way you like, if you purchase a vector illustration.

Hi!

I found this image with royalty free, just ask permission from the user if you want to use the image.
http://www.sxc.hu/photo/998056

As logo I think you can use some character that free font:
http://www.dafont.com/music-elements.font

And this other free font to "MusicGenreTree.com"
http://www.dafont.com/alpha-music-man.font

Good luck! =)

cool. Thanks for your help. I might end up using those images and fonts if I end up creating the logos myself.

If selected, the iStockPhoto watermark would have to be removed and I'd also want to work with the colors / spacing of the URL and the music notes.

Hi,

Here is the image of logo and avatar that I have created for you. I have to tell you that I created them in Photoshop CS2. The resolution of original image files are 800*600 pixels (72 dpi). I don't know how to transfer them into vectors, but I can give you the original photoshop files (psd files) with layers.

Thank You.

I appreciate you spending time to make these. These are very cool. I especially like the bottom one because it can easily be put as an avatar.

I am really new at the graphic design game, but figured it couldn't do any harm to get some more practice

I don't know if this is anything like what you want yet I had a little go.

If you want to make this contest more helpful in finding the logo you want these things may help:

- Font - Would you like a font similar to Arial or Times New Roman? Bold? Italic?

- Colours - What colour scheme would you like? Is it limited?

- Graphic - Any examples of logos you have seen that you would intend on having as your logo?

I put as little restrictions as possible because I wanted to see the breadth of designs that people would come up with. The best example I've seen as a logo I would use is @jkepler's submission - it has a web2.0'ish feel to it.
