What did Katy Perry have in her Grammy purse?

When Ryan Seacrest interviewed her, she pulled out what looked to be human hair. Is it true? Did she have locks of hair of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus?

According to Eonline.com and USAToday.com it is true. Per Eonline.com, "She did indeed have a lock of Miley's hair in her purse, along with a lock of Taylor Swift's hair." I just want to know why she was carrying around their hair.

Katy Perry was carrying a lock of Taylor Swift's hair and a lock of Miley Cyrus' hair in her red heart purse. Apparently that was the answer that she gave to Ryan Seacrest, I believe her it looked real enough to me.
