What toys will are best for 6-7 year old girls?

Mine seem to be in the middle of the age range, either too old for the baby stuff, but not old enough for everything else? My youngest wants an iPod, that just seems way out of line, while my oldest wants Play-Doh. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your youngest is too young for an iPod, what about a Fisher Price MP3 player? It seems like it will last longer, and still let her feel "cool" while enjoying her tunes.
