I don't think it's that big of a comeback, but I tell ya, I believe as long as he keeps playing, he'll stick around the top of the leader board for a while. He still managed to make over 5.7 million dollars in prize money last year, and that was while he was dealing with the disorder of his knee/left leg. I believe, if anything, Tiger will be even better, since he has completed his knee rehabilitation, which has stabilized his left leg. Tiger was no stranger to knee complications. He had problems with his knee since '94.' He is one of, if not, the most balanced athlete on the tour. That's one of the qualities that makes him the best. This versatility gives him capabilities to do things, such as modify his stance in certain hazardous situations on the course, or maneuver his shoulders to give it that extra "touch." This can be exemplified by his childhood hobby of skateboarding; the blunt contribution of his future knee troubles.

Tiger Woods is out in the second round of the Accenture Match Play Championship, beaten Thursday by South Africa's Tim Clark. That means Woods won't be playing Saturday and Sunday during live network television coverage of the event, but he'll still be prominent on NBC.
"We'll have to deal with showing what happened to Tiger because this has gone from being a golf tournament to a news event," NBC golf producer Tommy Roy said. "Our weekend telecast will have to deal with showing what happened to Tiger. It will be our duty."

Okay, this isn’t quite Rocky, and and Survivor isn’t playing the theme in the background, but as far as golf goes, the comeback of Tiger Woods is life-altering. Or at least that’s what Golf Channel would like to have you believe, since they’ve had a “Tiger clock” on screen counting down the time to the great man’s return. He’s surely to win the Match Play this week without a challenge and I’ve even heard Woods is working with Obama to find a way to fix the economy. That’s how great this man is.

This is an apt moment to be reminded that extraordinary feats can, indeed, be accomplished. It's easy to look at the latest unemployment figures and feel depressed, easy to behold the wreckage of the financial system and feel overwhelmed. The numbers in President Barack Obama's budget are incomprehensibly large – a trillion here, a trillion there. It's easy to feel lost and powerless.

As most are I'm glad to see him come back. He puts a certain excitement into the game that just isn't there otherwise.

I think Tiger Woods is as good as he ever was. He just has some tough competition, as he always had. He's not rusty by any means, he just has to get back into the swing of playing competitively, and he will be right on target with his golf game again. I'm glad to see Tiger back, as I missed him. He still has the great fan support, and Tiger will continue to be a great golfer. I like the new commercial welcoming him back, and I'm glad to see him back. My thoughts exactly, easy. I was excited to hear he was playing, and hoped he'd dominate. It's funny - people are shocked when he looses!! That speaks volume to his ability.
Still, I think he'll be back to his A game by the time the next tourney rolls around. Thanks for your thoughts my friend!

I never really followed golf. I think it's nice he is back doing what he loves. But, to me golf is to much like playing fetch with yourself.

People sometimes think he's perfect, and you need to realize that just because he loses a contest, does not mean he's rusty, it just means he had a tough competitor. He's on top of his game, and I look forward to seeing him play again!

If you saw that chip in from the sand, then you know why people have been eagerly awaiting his return. He played well except for that errant shot out of bounds. His putting was good and his irons were well played. Tim Clark was just steadier. Tiger still has a little rust to sand off.

I agree morriss - I think he'll be fine for the next tourney. No-one is harder on his game than Tiger himself.

I have obviously been out of touch lately, (my TV is almost never turned on anymore) so I didn't realize that he was in hiatus but I have been a fan of golf for some time, and Tiger has done the game wonders. Tiger Woods as a person also seems to be an inspiration to many. Nice to see him back in the game and in the news, his feats never cease to amaze.

I used to skate as a kid as well, and (ironically) now my knees are suffering for it as well! But still, I wouldn't change a thing.
Thanx very much!
