What's the best way to wrap an ankle for Achilles tendonitis?

Is the figure-8 method of wrapping an ankle with a bandage the best way to help with achilles tendonitis? If not, what other methods are there?

Have you seen an orthopedist? I was diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis about 2 years ago and was sent to physical therapy. The doctor did not recommend that I wrap it at all. In therapy, I did stretching and strengthening exercises.

Given my experience, I would not recommend that you wrap it at all unless your doctor recommended it to you. In which case, you should be asking him/her this question.
